He had very little playing time the second season (9mpg) and so he has had really 3 seasons with decent playing time to work on his game. Compare Perk to another center out of high school in Jermaine O'Neal. With more playing time, it still was 5 years before O'Neal broke out. Perk is in his break out season right now and is....well, he is breaking out. GO PERK!! I think his recent play is more gaining confidence than anything.
