Would You Trade Kobe Bryant?

6-19, 9-22, 7-17, 5-20, 7-21, 8-20. No, these aren't 2009-10 game logs for Ray Allen's field-goal attempts and field-goals made. The FG-FGA game logs belong to Kobe Bryant, a player widely regarded as the best player in the NBA. A player, I might add, who is shooting 29% from three for the year. Twenty-nine percent! Anyone think that Laker bloggers are talking about when and if it might be appropriate to trade him?

Ray Allen's 27-point offering last night ought to quiet the Ray-Allen trade speculation for at least a week or so, especially since it came on a night when he was 6-9 from the field, including 5-6 from three and a perfect 10-10 from the line. And don't forget the 5 rebounds, 5 assists, 1 steal, and 1 block he posted in 36 minutes, while only coughing it up one time.

Celtics fans need something to talk about, I guess. But trading Ray Allen shouldn't be one of them.

  2. if we can get back a younger, better player for Ray, why not trade him? but honestly i dont see such a player exsisting AND been traded for an expiring contract ;)

  3. Sure. Brandon Roy. That would be great. But I don't see those deals happening. And I wouldn't want Rudy Gay for him.

  4. Ray Allen is shooting 47% overall, and 34% from two.
