Fab 3 Get Cs Back on Track

Celtics Beat Golden State 105-82

Box Score

We are learning something new about the Celtics each night.

In the loss to Orlando, we learned that when the Cs bring their 'A' game, they can beat just about anyone. The Celtics won half number two by 15 points after playing a subpar first half in which the Magic built a 17 point advantage.

Tonight we saw the Cs move to .900. In my opinion, this is a big barrier. The 1986 Cs twice tried to reach the .900 marker, and failed both times. First they lost by two points to Indiana, blowing a late game lead. Then they lost at home to Portland in December, falling to 17-3.

The 1985-86 Celtics were a complacent team. By their own admission, they played their worst basketball after growing comfortable with winning streaks and their gaudy record. Mental lapses may not impact the 2007-08 Celtics to the same degree.
