House of Pain
At the Big Three press conference Ray Allen said that one of his goals was to make the new Garden a House of Pain for opposing teams, effectively conjuring up images of 1985-1986 when the GREEN went 40-1 during the regular season and ran the table during the playoffs.
It may be a little earlier to declare Mission Accomplished.
But at the very least Paul Pierce was dead on in saying that visiting teams better get their rest the night before coming to town.
Speaking of home court advantage, perhaps we can enlist Pat Riley to disconnect the air conditioning in the new Gah-den come playoff time, since he seemed to think that was the only reason we won the title in 1984.
I’m not expecting Riles to have much else to do in May, other than maybe consoling old friend Jack Nicholson…
