The Los Angeles Clippers appear ready to do nothing as the NBA trade and waiver deadlines approach.
Point guard Sam Cassell has been the subject of continued rumors, leaving the team either with a buyout or a trade. But when asked about the Cassell situation Tuesday, Dunleavy said, "There is no Sam situation."
Dunleavy added, however, that he and Elgin Baylor, the team's vice president of basketball operations, will continue to make calls of inquiry, listen and consider other teams' proposals, and follow the rumors, until the deadline passes.
Sounds like the Clippers are playing coy to see if they get potential suitors to up the ante.
