Bring on the Lakers

Bill Simmons most recent offering still expresses concerns over the playoff viability of the Boston Celtics.

We don’t have anyone to match LeBron James basket-for-basket.

Rajon Rondo can’t hit a jumper, and relying on a 38-year-old Sam Cassell with a bad back isn’t much better.

Doc Rivers isn’t resting the Big Three, and isn’t giving Rajon enough quality PT.

Please.

With Sam Cassell and PJ Brown on board, we are ready to rock and roll. The Lakers couldn’t even compete with us in two games earlier this year, quitting in the second game with seven minutes to go in the fourth quarter.

So they added Pao Gasol. Big deal. He doesn’t play defense, and, as I recall, the Lakers main problem against us was their inability to get any stops.

More importantly, the Lakers had problems finding any cohesion on offense. Pao will help out on this front, but with the Celtics throwing four to six different bigs at him, plus the stifling defensive rotations of Mr. Tom Thibodeau, I say there is no need to worry.

Yeah, the Lakers are creaming everyone they play. But look at the games they played before and after playing the Cs this year. They were creaming teams, then, too.

Regular season games are meaningless at this point.

If the Fakers think they are all that, then let’s get it on.
