Dirk and KG...again

For years in Minnesota, there was a knock on Kevin Garnett. Despite personal statistics that indicated he was among the league's finest players, Garnett could never win anything in the playoffs. Only got past the first round once. And it was said that Minnesota's big man and best player was too unselfish. Didn't always demand the ball in his hands at crunch time. Have you ever heard that said about another big man around here?

Of course, Nowitzki is not going to completely transform himself into Garnett. He's not going to be named the NBA's Defensive Player of the Year any time soon. But Garnett was a true leader for his team all season. He erased any doubts about where he stands in the game. As he said afterward, "What are they going to say now?"
