In 1988 the Lakers commemorated the second of their back-to-back championships with a t-shirt depicting their eight rotational players via cartoon caricatures. My brother, the die-hard Laker fan, must have worn that shirt to every family gathering for ten straight years.
God, I hated that shirt.
But I kind of fancy the above design.
I smell a little pay back.

I had one like this from the 86 Celtics championship. They did several characature shirts back then. I had another with the Starters and Walton in a drink carton thingy that said Bostons's best 6 pack or something like that. I still have them around here somewhere. Although they have been worn thin, I can't ever bear to throw them out. I have already ordered this shirt and 6 others along with a mug, a mouse pad, and the DVD set. I have a birthday coming up and am getting all Celtics' championship gear.
Wow.
A walton shirt from 1986?
I would have loved to have that one.
I just had the number 1 with all the championship years inside it.
I think it's the shirt they wore in the locker room.
You're getting all the championship gear?
That will set you back.
I'm getting a fair amount, but not all. Then again, I'm also getting a Russell throw back.
So we'll probably spend about the same.
