I just can't imagine Posey giving hugs to LeBron or Chris Paul or Kobe next season. They need to get him back. If it is just over a 4th year, give it to him.

I agree with you just as long as it doesn't wrap up the entire Mid Level Deal for the sake of our flexibility. Yes I also agree that any hugs outside of a green uniform involving Posey make my stomach churn!
I watched the finals over again this week and there were so many big plays that started or finished with Posey. His influence on the games went way beyond the box score! One thing Danny needs to consider is chemistry. Posey was a big part of the chemistry on that team from his hugs to his willingness to do whatever it took to win. We have Posey, House, Tony, Pollard, Cassell, and PJ who aren't signed and several more than likely not going to be back. When you have a championship team and change the chemistry on the team that much, you are facing an up hill battle to repeat.
Maybe the Celtics will need to sign Marbury or Lue to give him one of his good buddies to play with now that Posey is gone. I can see Marbury signing for the minimum if he is bought out by NY.

Yeah, FCF, just watch a few 2008 playoff games and it's impossible to divorce the celtics success from James Posey.

KG might go in to a deep funk if they don't sign Big Game James.

Marbury might be a good pick-up, though we're probably in the minority on that view.
