The Birdman Cometh Not

When Denver comes to town on Friday, the Nuggets will be without the services of Chris Andersen, who broke a rib on Sunday and is expected to be out for two to three weeks. Still, the game will provide an opportunity for many to revisit the signing of Patrick O'Bryant, who Danny brought on board after working out both O'Bryant and Andersen.

O'Bryant, after a promising start in exhibition season, has been relegated to a cheerleading role, first on the bench and later on the Injured List. Like Nellie told us, it seems POB has issues with his work ethic.

We shall see. Personally, I see POB getting some PT leading up to and including the 12/25 tilt at Staples.

In the meantime, I don't see too many reasons to shed a tear over the Birdman.

I was one who really wanted to see us sign Chris Anderson. I think letting him go and signing O'Bryant may end up being a mistake on Danny's part. But, O'Bryant is still learning and growing and does have more potential if he can ever reach it.

Yeah, the final chapter hasn't been written on POB.

Also, Danny can always pick up another big along the way.

But Andersen probably would have made a more immediate impact...
