"Oscar" Gamble Hitting 81% from the Floor

Remembering the 29-5 Start 1990-91 Boston Celtics
1990-91 Boston Celtics

Kevin "Oscar" Gamble, who has been born again under the new offensive system, has shot 81 percent (13 for 16) in the first two games . . . Despite two wins in two nights, Shaw knows he has to settle in more when he's running the break. "I get a little overexcited," he said. "I'm trying to make it happen too fast. I have to be more aware of the guys getting to their spot." . . . Dee Brown scored his first NBA basket at 7:56 of the second quarter, when he motored past future Hall of Famer Mo Cheeks and earned himself a 3-point play . . . Again, it's only two games, but thus far Celtics opponents are shooting just 40.7 percent . . . Boston did not practice yesterday and will fly to Chicago tonight after a morning workout at Hellenic . . . Joe Kleine, who suffered a concussion Friday night against Cleveland and did not join the team in New York, is expected to be back against the Bulls tomorrow night.
