The Boston Celtics bench hit the magic threshold devised by Sam Cassell to measure productivity of the reserves. They scored 20 points or more, and they did it in four quarters, even though the game went the extra frame, because the bench didn't contribute much in OT.
Tony Allen, by contrast, contributed very little the entire game, which is something we've seen a lot of since his 23-point outburst against Detroit. More importantly, his minutes appear on the decline.
It's hard to be consistent off the bench.
But we need more out of Tony Allen than we've gotten the last four games.
