I've been a Celtics fan a long time. I watched the Boston-Philly game where Celtics fans first invoked the "Beat LA" chant, imploring the Sixers to do just that in the Finals.
But in all those years between then and now, I don't recall hearing the chant during a regular-season game not involving the Fakers.
