Only three games into the season, Dee Brown already has established himself as somewhat of a Celtics anomaly. As a rookie guard, he is playing and not watching when games are being decided. And the team seems, even at this stage, to be interesting, perhaps better than many suspected.
The history of Celtics rookies, until recently, has been twofold: the great ones played and the other ones, especially guards, waited unless the franchise was in a downward spiral.

The Celtic way was always to let rookies pay their dues before getting their chance. The lean years from 86 on kind of ended that. But, we are back to that now in a way with Giddens and Walker in the D League paying their dues and Gabe doing the same last season. They are being groomed for the future.

They could just move Sam to the bench, or they could trade Pruitt, Walker, Giddens, etc in a 3-1 etc.

Yeah, Lex, I have to think Danny is looking into trades. They don't call him trader Danny for nothing. But, I don't think he is going to want to mess with the heart of the rotation. If anything it will be the young guys - Pruitt, Giddens, Walker, and maybe Scal. And if he can't get enough for any of the above, moving Sam to the coaching staff is also possible because that is what he is doing now anyway. I do believe he will do something. If he can pick up a free agent like Mutombo or PJ, then I think the Sam move will be what he does. If no free agent is available, then he may look for a trade of some of the young guys for some length off the bench.
I wonder if Pollard is like a Plan D or something?
