Anyone else think Joe Smith has a PJ Brown sort of ring to his name?

And unlike PJ, but like Cassell, has former KG connections.
I'd like to see this happen. But if it were to happen, it won't for several months, barring a trade.
Smith isn't gonna work a buyout in December or January.
Speaking of "Smiths," anyone remember Derek Smith? Joe Smith is kind of like him, only a whole lot healthier.

I'd like to say Smith for Scalabrine, but that seems unlikely, too.
With the FA sweepstakes coming up we might be seeing some questionable trades going down so I hope Danny's working on something. I'd love to have Smith. The bench needs a defensive anchor and he could fill the role. The problem I see with our bench is really their defense. If they focus on getting stops and converting fast break points they should be fine.
Defensive anchor would be good. At least 6 points each night from one guy would be good, too.
Joe is ok for me, but i prefer Mutombo... of course i'm just speaking of my wish: i'm sure Danny and Doc know the team better and will do the right thing (that maybe will not be the best absolute speaking, but the best they can do.. that's pretty enough for me!)
Hopefully they get one or the other or PJ himself....
