The Los Angeles Lakers visit Miami this Friday, the start of a four-game road trip that concludes in New Orleans Dec. 23. "We get back at 2 o'clock or 3 o'clock in the morning and to practice on the 24th is almost unfair after four games in five days," Lakers coach Phil Jackson said. "Preparing for the game is even difficult for us. Obviously, we have something to draw from last June, but that's six months out."
Last year the Celtics beat Utah in Utah on Saturday night and turned around and crushed the Lakers in LA the next night, completing a five game sweep on the road.
I don't recall Doc or anyone else in green ginning up excuses before the road trip started. The kicker here is that the Lakers-Celtics game is being played at Staples, and Jackson is still making excuses.

I read that article and his whining makes me sick. He is already making excuses so that when they lose he can blame it on something other than his soft players and his inept coaching. No other coach in the league whines as much or makes as many excuses as Jackson. He makes me sick.
I never knew this about him until the Finals last year.
For somone so respected, he sure has some odd behavioral issues...
this puzzle me a lot: everyone with a bit of coaching knowledge knows that giving excuses to your team is he best way to LOOSE game!
i cant belive he's tha same coach that had the MJ respect...

Good to see you back.

i really love reading ur blog: actually i read more about fakers in this past weeks than in my whole life but... u know is a very funny reading! ;)
Yeah, it is odd to see so much purple on a celtics blog!
Yeah, but as you said... You can never have too many articles ridiculing the Fakers.
The Lakers insecurity about the Celtics would be funny if it wasn't so pathetic. Its not even a back to back and its a home game for goodness sakes.
Yeah, anon. Pathetic and odd.
