"I think it surprised a lot of people," Popovich said of Rondo's emergence. "I didn't really know what he was when he came in [to the league]. I've heard the good and the bad and from what I can see, he has silenced a lot of critics in the sense of really being able to have the gravitas to run the team, get things done and move the ball where it is supposed to go -- to be an important player in their success. He deserves a lot of credit for that."

Rondo finished with six points, 16 assists, and five rebounds, while Parker finished with seven points, seven assists and three rebounds.
