Now that the Sorrowful Song of Solomon is no longer a Celtic (was he ever?), we can get back to the business at hand.
Tonight's game?
No way.
We've got nine days left until the March 1 deadline for postseason eligibility. As noted earlier, the NBA salary cap is expected to decrease this year, which, in turn, is expected to increase the number of players who will be bought out to save money.
This means that your Boston Celtics will soon be adrift in free agents vying to fill their two open roster slots. Joe Smith and Stephon Marbury are the early frontrunners. But in this economy, you never know what other big name players may be offered fifty- to seventy-five cents on the dollar to explore opportunities elsewhere.

Any thoughts on Mikki Moore, Lex?

I hate to say it, but when I think of Mikki Moore, I think of roster spots 13, 14, 15. I don't think of impact player.
PJ Brown he is not. Now if we got Joe Smith, Starbury, and Mikki, that would be fine.
Of course we'd have to cut someone.
What do you think?
Bleacher report is saying Mikki has been already "acquired" by the Cs

I think they are overstating the case.
Moore was just bought out so he is an option but I would much rather have Joe Smith.
I was reading that Cavs really want Smith though and they still have a big chunk of their mid level exception to offer him. Smith has said that he wants to come to Boston but there is no telling if he will go for the Celtics or more money from Cleveland. I would much rather have Moore than Booth who the Globe says Danny is interested in and who has done nothing in his 10 year career.
How about Pollard or Moore?
I agree on Joe Smith being the best option, but I meant what about Pollard v. Moore if smith isn't available?
