On Account of the Economy

Speaking of My Lakers' Friend, this guy is pretty plugged in, and plays it pretty straight (no need for a Laker filter). He's telling me that because of the dire state of the economy, NBA executives expect to open the floodgates on buyouts very shortly, which will create a buyer's market, something obviously that favors DA GREEN.

If true, I may have to give this guy a regular column here. He's the one that told me about the Celtics taunting Odom throughout the Finals (You know, "shoot it! Come on, shoot it again!").

He's always telling me stuff that turns out to be true. But because he's a Lakers' fan, I usually tune him out.

I would be so happy if this were true. Truthfully, I just want today to pass without any Cavs trades and then wait for Danny to do SOMETHING before March.

Yeah, the Cavs worry me too.

But I'm still hoping DA adds 2-3 pieces b/f mar 1.
