Inspired and Emboldened

That was the most inspired basketball I've seen the Celtics play this year. A big game for them--a huge game--against a team that has suffered no lulls the entire season, and the green walk away with a convincing win. Gahden fans have been accused of sleeping on the job as of late. I think part of the problem has been the Celtics players sleepwalking through many of their home games.

Maybe both the fans and the players can just flip a switch for the playoffs. This game is the first palpable sign that green is preparing itself for the postseason.

I keep hearing people that the Celtic team that shows up in the play-offs will not be the one we're seeing the season. I hope its true because this team when it shows up and plays a full game will be very tough to beat in a series.

I had to check 3 different box scores before I was sure that the 38-12 free throw difference wasn't a misprint! 38-12!!!!!!!!!!!! I don't think I have ever seen a FT difference that big!

It seems the Celtics had to overcome the absence of KG, Scal and TA and the ejection of Big Baby and the ankle sprain to Rondo and the horrible officiating as well. Talk about long odds.

It seems to me that Herr Stern is set on a LeBron/Kobe finals and is doing everything he can to make it happen. The Lakers have been getting so many calls their way. I have watched a few games to cheer against them and it seems that they get every call. It is obvious that the Celtics aren't getting any breaks from the refs. The officiating has been terrible for the most part. And now we see The Cavs getting 38 free throws to 12 for the Celtics when the Celtics were the most aggressive going to the hoop and the Cavs settled for jumpers most of the game. The NBA... where bad officiating happens....

38-12. That's pathetic. But instead of complaining like the mistress, we just won.

I really hope we don't have a kobe lebron finals. After last night, I fear the purple would win.

But you know what, I really like the spurs chances now with Drew Gooden.

Anon, maybe if we use this game as the first in our ramping up process, we won't need to flip a switch. We'll already be playing good ball by 4/16.
