We're a Little Wing Heavy, Don't Ya Think?

KG Perk Pierce
Baby Sheed Scalabrine
Shelden BW

Ray Rajon
Daniels E.House
T.Allen Hudson (no contract)
JR

According to the Boston Herald, the Boston Celtics will finalize deals to bring both Big Baby Davis and Marquis Daniels into the fold, and without shedding a single player in so doing. That gives us 14 guaranteed contracts. Whoa! Of those fourteen players, seven are wings, and four more, Sheed, KG, Baby, and House, could see some time at the two or three. Double whoa!!

But don't worry. My campaign to get Bruce Bowen continues.

Figure out a way to get 'er done, gentlemen.

We need a 6-8 wing who can play D and make threes in big games. Despite having cornered the market on wings, we still don't have anyone who fits the aforementioned description.

Danny is trying to make a sign and trade more for opening up a roster space more than salary reasons in my opinion. He really wants to move Tony but no takers for a player who will get death threats every time he goes to Chicago. I thought OKC had interest in him last season. Maybe Danny could sweeten the pot with Giddens to get them to take him.

I think Bowen can help us even though I have never really liked him. But if he is a Celtic, I can learn to like him pretty quickly. Our biggest need is a back up PG right now. Eddie is more effective as a 2. We need a PG to play with him.

Eddie at the 2--will we have room for him there?

I'd hate to sacrifice JR/BW, but if Doc isn't gonna play them, we just might have to so we can get a wing doc will play off the bench

Trading the expirings of Tony and Scal would net us 2 roster spaces. Maybe we can get a good back up PG for those two. I'd rather give up Giddens than Walker but would like to keep both.

I also would rather do what we are going to do now rather than at the trade deadline. Having players from training camp is better than adding them later.

Yes, Danny saw the limitations of waiting for the trade deadline last year
