Rondo is a special player and it really upsets me that Danny was talking trade. PG is a hard spot to fill and the Celtics have one of the best. They need to get that extension done and keep this kid for the long haul. I know some of Danny's talk etc is to motivate him and to get his attitude in line, but he better not lose him or it's back to mediocre PGs while looking for the next Rondo.
I say Rondo is staying put. It's a good sign that Rondo has taken to pointing out his own shortcomings. I think he's cool with everything.

Yep, Matt. Center and PG are the hardest positions for teams to fill and the Celtics filled them very well and very cheaply for the past 4 years. They need to pay Perk and Rondo what they are worth to keep them happy and not play around trying to squeeze pennies.
