It's interesting to compare the original big three with the new big three (plus Sheed). In my mind, Larry, Kevin, Chief, and DJ too, seemed much older (and slower) in the last 2-3 years of their careers than the group we have now. Sure, KG, Ray, Paul, and Sheed are not as athletic as they were five years ago, but I still think they all still play all-star caliber ball. By way of comparison, I look at Shaq, and he seems MUCH slower than when he was in his prime. Am I crazy for thinking our current group of vets are at the tail-end of their primes?
Good point, CW. I think they all had a lot more wear and tear on their bodies back in the 80s. Not sure why.
Sheed is probably way way end of his prime. Ray Allen not quite as close to the end. KG--who knows. Pierce -- late prime.
