Jordan Farmar will be switching jersey numbers this upcoming season. Farmar – who, by the way recently changed his jersey number to “1″ – is eager to prove his individual talents in a system that doesn’t really cater to that. That may not work if he’s not willing to defer to team.Farmar has had lingering issues regarding his attitude, and (some say) cockiness.

Whutt up with all da jersey number changes in LA LA Land? Maybe Farmar can take jersey #8 next, though it's unclear whether that number may some day be reclaimed by its former owner. Oh wait. I get it. Kobe wants to have TWO jersey numbers retired when he's done. That wouldn't be consistent with an egomaniacal personality, now would it? I mean it's not like we have any other proof indicating obsessive preoccupation with self when it comes to the son of Joe Bryant.
BTW, the same link tells us that Fakerdom is way down on Farmar and way up on Brandon Shown (or whatever the other guy's name is). In fact, the hope seems to be that Brandon Shown will replace Derek Fisher as the starter. This makes sense to me. Not that Brandon Shown is actually qualified to be a starter. But when your starting point guard is a 35-year-old undersized shooting guard playing the point, and averaged 2.2 assists in 28 minutes of play, in addition to shooting 39% from the field and 28% from three, it's understandable that the fan base considers the starting point guard a weak link.

I'm looking forward to seeing the Lakers having problems this season with Farmar not happy with his role, Fisher not happy with Farmar not being happy, Artest taking shots from Kobe and Kobe getting frustrated with Artest, the inevitable Artest meltdown, and Gasoft has been injury prone up until the last two seasons and is probably due for another one. All will not be all fun and games in La La land.
I think you are right. The Mistress will be tested!
Farmar can change his number. Farmar can change his underwear. Farmar can even change the hand he uses on Kobe in the shower... but in the end, he can' t change the fact that he sucks. He wouldn't even make spots 13 - 15 on the Celtics.
Hey anon, you're speaking my language. BTW, House is better than D.Fish too.
