"Magic are the Big Dawgs of the East"

Woof, woof Magic fans.

Paul Pierce of the Boston Celtics think your team is a dog.Check out his Tweet after the NBA Finals: “Looked like a German shepherd vs. a poodle. That’s OK the Rottweiler Celtics will b back in 2010.” Paul’s not done barking. In a recent interview, he said he’s confident that the Celtics will hang another championship from the rafters at Boston Garden.

George Diaz disagrees:

The Magic are back, and have assembled a stronger lineup.Sorry, dude. I still think the Magic are the Big Dawgs of the East.

I've always been willing to pay the defending champs the courtesy of deferring to their reigning championship. But I'm not sure how a Magic fan sees the addition of Vince Carter and Brandon Bass as being more impactful to their lineup than the additions of Rasheed Wallace, Marquis Daniels, and Shelden Williams to the Celtics line-up, plus the return of Kevin Garnett.

Maybe this guy is just praying to the injury gods.

Cuz that's the only chance they have.
