There was a swagger to the Boston Celtics last October that carried over from the previous June, a level of confidence that you'll normally see in only one or two places across the NBA landscape when teams show up for the start of a new season. Some of that swagger still remains, but it is muted at this point. Make no mistake, they current bunch of Celtics are confident they're going to be good. Real good. But heading into camp it was a longer-than-expected summer for everyone on the team, the season ending with an emptiness that was best summed up with a vulgarity out of the mouth of Eddie House when he arrived for the first day of camp: "Man, this summer was shitty."
