Big win. One more win, and it will feel a little like our first west coast trip in dec of 07
the obvious key factor from this game, is that scal's percentage has taken a huge knock! gutted!
p.s good win!
I'm bummed. What happened to our .800 sharp-shooter??!!
Paul Pierce--2 for 9. Like I said, he may be our MVP. But he's no league MVP.
By the end of the year, it may be rondo who's the team mvp.
We got killed on the boards, and yet Doc stuck with Scal over Shelden.
Celtics +19 when Rondo was on the floor.
“If Paul doesn’t score double figures I got to think it’s my fault, always,’’ Rivers said. “He didn’t touch the ball in rhythm, he touched it sporadically. And that’s what I meant by I thought we got away from our offense, a lot at times. And Paul has to touch the ball - doesn’t mean he has to shoot it, but he has to touch it, because if you don’t touch it for a long period of time, when it is time for you to score it’s very difficult to score.’’
Tonight is a statement game. Big game. We sweep the road trip, that gives us enormous momentum heading home and into the next road trip.
What happened to the mountain man look for Popovich? I expected him to start wearing flannel shirts to games.
On Sunday, Garnett drained two elbow jumpers within 94 seconds to help seal the victory. Both were created from dribble penetration, once from Paul Pierce, who is constantly encouraging Garnett to unleash himself offensively.
“I wasn’t even going to it but Paul was on my [butt] on the bench about being aggressive, take the shot, take the damn shot,’’ Garnett said.
