Glen Davis defends Shaq better Andrew Bynum. Just think if Glen were four inches taller. One might conjecture that the Second Coming of Wilt woul be able to 1) play more than 23 minutes in a big game; 2) assert himself defensively against all opposing centers, not just the undersized ones; 3) assert himself offensively against all opposing centers, not just the undersized ones.
Whatever.
I'm glad he's their problem, not our's.

Pau Gasol didn't resemble the player that the Lakers just signed to a three-year, $57-million contract extension on Wednesday.
Jamario Moon nearly outscored the Lakers' bench by himself. Moon had 13 points, missing just one of his seven shots. The Lakers' reserves scored 17 points, 15 in the fourth quarter after the game had turned into a rout.
Last year, the Boston Celtics came in to Christmas Day as the defending champs and a team with just a couple losses — they came in the best team in the NBA. And the Lakers thumped them. Thumped them good.

The game was tied with 3 minutes to go.
Offensively, the Lakers weren’t much better. Pau and Bynum couldn’t get much going down low and our bench “stench” was nonexistent.

Player of the Game: Kobe came close to a triple double with 35 points, 9 rebounds, 8 assists, 2 steals, and a perfect 12-12 from the line. Oh, and about 100 profanities to the referees.

Overall, this was an excellent road trip. I think 2-2 would have been acceptable and 1-3 was understandable, especially the way the Kings play at home. If the Lakers don't bring it tomorrow in Sacramento they'll have trouble, the Kings are tough at home.
