“Every team has some holes, and shooting is something we can’t have enough of,” Rivers said. “You look at some of these other teams, their shooting was ridiculous. We’re looking around. I don’t know if I can even say anything about Michael.

“I don’t think a veteran ever hurts. It always helps if it’s the right one.”

"The opportunity to earn minutes in the rotation," Thomas said. "And the chance to seek a ring and the chance to play for Doc (Rivers) and with (Kevin Garnett) and some of the other guys. All of those things made Boston attractive."

Thomas said Finley is completely healthy and could be in action Sunday against the Washington Wizards.

“There were a lot of elements there that were attractive. He hopes to make an impact like [former Celtics forward] P.J. Brown did.”

Last year in the playoffs, Finley averaged 8 points, 3 rebounds and 1 assist per game in five games with the Spurs.

it's cool, but i just wonder how it's all going to fit in.
