Hey lex!
How are you?
I'm not sure about blowing this whole thing up just yet, but maybe thats just me clinging on to hope!
But i really hope we get a young talent at center rather than a veteran temporary 1 year fix!
we shall see!
he's not exactly young (30), but i wouldnt mind brendan haywood, do you reckon we have chance at him?
at would fill the perk void quite well i think
Hey Matty,
Now we are talking about mike miller.
???
KG played almost 40 minutes in game 7 and grabbed a Mark Blountish 3 rebounds. He's our only healthy big, and healthy for him means he has a bad knee.
If we sign RA, I hope it is for a one year deal, and then we can trade RA, PP, and maybe even KG at the trade deadline (in separate deals) to teams that need pieces for a title run. Each one of those guys might net something young and valuable in return.
Our goose is cooked unless we make some dramatic moves.
or maybe I'm deluded
I think we need to let Ray Allen go and I agree with putting KG on the trading block. We have I believe a potential 8 or 9 roster spots for next year. We need to get some free agent help but I think it should be for young players who will be around awhile and young players who are not undersized. The only problem I had with this year's draft is we did not address the size issue and drafted some more undersized players.
The draft was a dud.
The miller brothers would be two more duds.
Danny can't really thinking about adding those two guys.
Very kevin mchale of him, if he does.
I see the Herald is suggesting bold moves too.
Pierce opts out.
Very interesting.
How many utes (My Cousin Vinny reference) can we get for Pierce, Allen and Garnett?
Da ute movement is on the way (I hope)
I personally think, as long as ray and paul both take the pay sacrifice (cmon they have plenty of money!) then maybe we can retool and go for another run, but we would need a quality centre, after perk's injury woes.
Young centre, with good talent, i am thinking someone like javale mcgee would be an excellent fit, check his numbers for just 16mins per tip....
Doubt we could get him though...
Cap space and flexibility mean nothing if nobody wants to sign with your team. Let's face it no marquee free agent has ever signed with this team. It's possible Pierce and Allen could leave while gaining nothing in return.
good times!
