1984 NBA Finals
The winning lineup didn't end at the sixth man. There were others, role players and once-and-future starters, who contributed in the Celtics championship season:
- Danny Ainge's long-range shots that forced the Lakers out and opened up the inside game;
- Quinn Buckner's gritty defense and hustle throughout the season and playoffs;
- Scott Wedman's winning jumper in overtime of Game 2 against the Lakers that kept the Celtics alive;
- M.L. Carr's defense against the Bullets and his relentless cheerleading that triggered so many rallies;
- And the two rookies - Greg Kite and Carlos Clark - who can show off championship rings already.
