TIME ON CELTICS' SIDE DURING SPRING BREAK

Frank Dell'Apa, Globe Staff

So the Celtics continue to rejuvenate, nearly three years after their last conference final appearance. There are signs of progress, measured by the won-loss record. A year ago, the Celtics' 50th victory was received skeptically, since it occurred in mid-April and against the Orlando Magic at that. This year, win No. 50 was wrapped up in March. And 13 games remain before the playoffs.

Continuing my theme from the prior post, let us not forget the 1990-91 season, where, again, Celticdom began perking up a bit due to some modest success.

How did that season end?

Here you go.

I stumbled across this tidbit while doing some research on Derek Smith, an oft-inured, but promising veteran we added mid-season. His knee didn't hold up, though, and that was that.

Look, he has to say the things he said, but Boston has every option in play right now. Don't be shocked if Rondo or Ray Allen have a different uniform in three hours.

We'll see.

Rondo ain't goin' anywhere unless a whole lot is coming back in return

The stretch run and the cs don't have a viable big man other than the white kid and the rook, neither of which really qualify as viable.

Will they pick someone up?

Will that person be any good or just another mikki moore?

although I haven't seen him play lately, Turiaf might be nice. we are in desperate need of some beef inside.

You are correct.

Should be an interesting end to the Big Three Era.
