I tried. I really tried. Being a father of two young children,
and finally finding a challenging job, I tried. I honestly gave it my best
shot. But then Google upped the ante, providing page-view statistics, and maps
of where Lex-driven traffic is originating. It seems my blog has assumed a life
of its own.
None of what I consider my best posts are the popular ones,
of course. The most popular, oddly, are things like “Who
invented the Free Throw Hand-Slap?” Someone took the time to read it and comment on it four years after I posted it.
I suppose that’s how it goes for writers. Stuff they consider their best gets ignored, while things they barely gave a thought to are the most loved. Oh well.

In any event, I guess I’m back in the blogging business.
Thanks for visiting the blog while I was attending blogger’s

Perhaps I connected with the Higher Power, and the Higher
Power told me I needed to quit trying to quit.

Off all the sports cards I own, and trust me, I own a lot, that walton bird card has to be in the top three.
