The NBA went through a 50-game regular season in 90 days during the strike-shortened 1999-2000 season. The dreaded back-to-back-to-back,
three-games-in-three-days stretch, proved to have more bark than bite.
There were 65 such stretches that season. Eight teams swept all three,
and nine got swept.
