Forget Dave Cowens for the All-star game.
The Eastern Conference coaches have already been polled to select his replacement for Sunday's affair in Landover, Md. Bill Fitch said he would like to see a Celtic replace Cowens, but more likely candidates include New York's Bill Cartwright, Washington's Westley Unseld and Philadelphia's Darryl Dawkins. Fitch reasons that if another one of his players were chosen, Elvin Hayes could swing between forward and center. But if a fourth Celtic were selected, the 76ers would have grounds to howl, considering the teams' respective records.
