Was Danny Shopping Rondo?

So by now everyone has heard both sides of the story.

Media and Miscellaneous GMs: Yes, Danny most certainly was shopping #9.

Danny and Doc: No, the Celtics love Rajon Rondo, and were merely entertaining offers.

What say me?

Of course Danny was shopping Shorty.

Why?

Avery Bradley.

Doc saw in practice what we all see now.

A point guard who plays stifling D, and, more importantly, whose jumper is downright wet on occasion. Now contrast that picture with the one of Rondo, whose jumper is iffy at best. Doc looks at Avery and what does he see? Himself. 25 years ago.

You trade #9 for a stud 4 or 5, and all of a sudden you've laid the foundation for title contention over the next five years.

My only question is who Doc plays in the last 5 minutes of close games during the playoffs.

#9 or the kid?

If #20 never returns, that might suggest that Doc plays both Avery and Rajon at the same time.

Don't bet on it, at least not down the stretch of close games.
