Opening Night was Memorable in 1985, Too

If this blog has a sweet spot, it could probably be located somewhere amid the 1985-86 season, a season that was owned start to finish by the Boston Celtics. Well, that's not entirely true, now is it? There was the opening night loss to the New Jersey Nets, a contest Bill Walton later called a total disgrace to the game of basketball

While Tuesday night's loss to the Heat was not a disgrace, I wonder how the Celtics will bounce back? In the next post, we'll take a look at how the 1985-86 Celtics responded in game 2 against the Cavaliers. Meanwhile, the box score from the New Jersey game can be found after the jump. Notice the number of turnovers committed by the Green. Also note that Buck Williams and the Nets managed to outrebound one of the greatest rebounding teams of all time.
