P-Mac at Fenway: Will We be able to Hear Paul Sing?

Oh my God.

Hit play in the above vid.

I defy you to say that you can hear Sir Paul singing a single word for the entire first verse.

Reminiscent of the Early Beatles Era, when throngs of teenage girls drowned out the Fab Four in live performances by screaming and crying non-stop, now it seems everyone is taking part.

Eight Days a Week was never one of my favorite songs. It is now. I hear the love. I see the celebration. I want to be part of it.

We all have our favorite songs, and we expect some of them to be played when we pay to see artists perform. Going to see Paul McCartney is not quite the same today as it was in the past. Almost 71, McCartney is drawing a different kind of audience. His fans, young and old, want to see him one last time, pay tribute, and sing along, while the flood of feelings take over your being.

It's like a spiritual quest to the Holy Land.

So what he sings is less in important than sharing space with him even for a short period of time.

Are you going?

That concert was in Brazil. Amazing that so many knew the words and were able to sing along. Truly an international icon.

I never saw the Beatles or Paul at any live concerts - But I was one of those girls sitting in front of the TV crying over them.

i'm reading shout, supposedly the definitive story, and i'm smack dab in the middle of the girl-screaming period. The other interesting thing about this tour is that paul is dusting off some lennon tunes, eight days a week being one, benefit of mr. kite being another, and even day tripper.

a tribute to his old friend.

a beatles reunion with just one beatle

Unlike most of the teen girls who were in love with Paul, Ringo was always my favorite. Guess I've always pulled for the underdog.

I remember that Ed Sullivan show when he introduced them... When they introduced John it flashed up on the screen "Sorry girls, he's married." I'll bet that broke uncountable teenage hearts LOL

Now you've got my Beatles nostalgia going in full bloom.

May have to take a break from Celtics history after I finish Seeing Red and look up Shout and read it.

The first part of the book is good enough, but once the Beatles hit the ground in NY, the book really starts to cook
