Larry Bird was such an amazing player. He was truly one of a kind. I pull out my old videos and watch him every so often. Just amazing. One I watched just last week was one where he hit a 3 to tie the game and it was waived off because KC was calling a time out when he shot it. Then he hit another 3 to tie the game to send into overtime. Then he hit the game winner in OT. So much fun to watch.

From 1984-1986 Larry Bird was the greatest player in the history of basketball.

It is just that simple.

I bet the game you watched was on a west coast trip.

I say this because on the one I'm thinking of, he did what you described, or some variation, over and over again, until finally my brother, the die-hard lakers fan called me to concede larry was the best he'd ever seen...

In 1985-86 the celtics had the two best basketball players ever ON THE SAME TEAM

Yeah, it was on a trip out west. I think it was Portland. I'd have to dig it out to be sure.

That 85-86 team was unreal. 5 HOFers in their top 6 players.

You forgot David Thirdkill.

That makes 6 HOFers.

: )
