Leon was one of the good ones and Danny did him wrong. Leon played on an injured knee because they needed him and when he tore up his knee so he needed surgery again, Danny let him go. I've fumed about that and the way Danny did bad to Clifford Ray as well. I love Leon. Glad he's back with the organization now. One of the classiest guys in the league.
You stumped me twice. What happened to Clifford? What is Leon's role?
Remember back awhile, Delonte West and Pierce both had serious infections and they had to disinfect the whole training facility? Well, Cliff got that same MRSA infection and spent the end of the season fighting it. The Celtics waited until just a couple weeks before the next season started and told Cliff that he would no longer be needed because they said they didn't think he'd be healthy enough to get out there and work with the players. It was their fault that he had the infection in the first place. They had hired Lawrence Frank and his deal allowed him to bring in Roy Rogers as an assistant and so they dumped Cliff and gave him some sort of a severance package to go away quietly but they did it like 2 weeks before the season so he didn't have a chance to find work elsewhere. He was really hurt by it and rightfully so. And Leon is in a player personnel/community outreach position where he works with the players and also does community outreach.
Thanks, FCFI was oblivious to both stories
