Is Rajon Still the Worst Point Guard in the East?
After the Boston Celtcs acquired Kevin Garnett in late July, NBA pundits told everyone what they thought of Danny Ainge's new team. For many, the answer was simple: We're not impressed.
Why?
Many reasons, really, ranging from claims that the Celtics have the worst bench in the NBA to claims that they have the worst 4-12 roster spots in the NBA. One critic went so far as to say that the drop off in talent between roster spots 1-3 and 4-12 was the worst in the history of the NBA. Some observers weren't so bold, merely claiming that Rajon Rondo was the worst starting point guard in the Eastern Conference.
After 8 games, I say it's time to start examining the accuracy of these proclamations, starting with the claim that Rajon Rondo is the worst starting point guard in the East.
The below chart will allow you to draw your own conclusions.
