Brandon Wallace has been officially released.
If you listen closely, you might just hear the other shoe drop.
As I've said elsewhere, if the Cs have no intention of giving Scot Pollard a meaningful role this year, then they still need a guy taller than Glen Davis to fill in for Perk at the 5-spot.
A PJ Brown acquisition would be a killer, one that would demoralize the rest of the NBA. He would shore up the Celtics one weakness (I'm not buying into the third-string-point-guard-as-a-weakness theory just yet). Even at 37, PJ Brown is exactly the type of player the Celtics need. A veteran big who understands how to play a role on a championship contender, a player not afraid to roll up his sleeves and do any necessary dirty work required of him.
Ya think PJ's received any calls from Beantown over the last few weeks? We know how KG was campaigning for Reggie Miller to come out of retirement. I gotta believe Mssrs. Pierce, House, Posey, and Garnett have all placed at least one call to old PJ.
It's up to Doc and Danny to close the deal.
The 20-2 start isn't bad marketing for the sales pitch, either.

Yeah, you might be right...or he might be the guy that clinches the deal.
but he's also cheap, 1111.
