I am thankful that McHale went through with the trade to the Celtics. I know he has to have a soft spot in his heart for his old team, but this was all business. Simply put, the Celtics offered the best package for KG. McHale got one of the best young power forwards in the league. He also got some good young prospects in Ryan Gomes, Sebastian Telfair, and Gerald Green. Plus he got cap room and draft picks. I would say 7 for one wasn't exactly giving KG away. Now, I still think someone should check into that farce that was the Gasol trade. Something is fishy there.

Yeah, eventually one Mr. Jerry West will be found to have had a finger in the gasol joke.
Speaking of soft spots, I have one for K.McHale.
I know he tried his damnedest to build a championship team around KG. When he couldn't, I am glad he found the "right" home for him.
