Game 5: KG, KG, and more KG

Stop with me for a second and try to put yourself in the mind of Kevin Garnett.

He's 48 minutes away from the moment he's been waiting a lifetime to reach. He's performed well in the Finals, but he hasn't had that monster game. He's been called out for not being "clutch" in the fourth quarter or just coming up empty in the fourth quarter. On Friday, Jim Rome said "Well, KG, you finally got your wish. You're on a team with players who can close the deal."

Ouch.

I say the pressure is off. KG has arrived at his moment. All he has to do is play his best basketball, or nearly so, and it's over. Everyone knows this and so does he.

Yet no one is really talking about KG going monster on Sunday.

I am.

KG will have had three days to prepare for Sunday.

He's gonna be rested and ready conquer.

One monster game and the hardware is his.

He's so close he can taste it.

Let's watch him make it happen.

I have been thinking along those same lines. I think KG is going to have a monster game. He hasn't really gone off in this series at all (Even though he has had a double double in every game)

One game. He just has to set his mind to it. He's done it before, both with Boston and MN.

Take it to the rack, get their bigs in foul trouble early.
