Winning is the salve that cures everything.
Ever hear that one before?
Clichés are Clichés because they are true.
Let's take a look at Celtic boogeyman before and after the last four games.
Problem: Celtics can't win on the road.
Resolution: Celtics have now won two of their last three on the road against the team with the second best regular season record in the NBA.
Problem: Celtics lack championship mettle to close out series in fewer than 7 games.
Resolution: Celtics close out Pistons in six, winning three of the last four games.
Problem: Celtics collapse and choke in fourth quarter, coughing up big leads.
Resolution: Celtics win ECFs on strength of a 29-13 fourth quarter outburst at Auburn Hills.
Ray Allen isn't Ray Allen: Oh yes he is. Over the last two games he's been the assassin of old, calmly anaesthetising opponents with his steely efficiency.
So the Celtic house is looking pretty good.
Well, except for Sam Cassell.
This guy has been in a slump since the Atlanta series. At one point, he'd missed 17 shots in a row. While my sympathies lie with Eddie House, if we're gonna use Sam, can he at least step up to the plate?
You know, instead of going 1-5 every game, maybe go 2-5 every other game?
