The first two games against the Lakers, the match-ups were pretty clear, especially in the post. Kendrick Perkins defended Andrew Bynum, and vice versa. And, if you dig back far enough in this blog, you will find LA Times writers confessing that Perkins got the better of that match-up, and then some.
Andrew Bynum is now on the shelf, and that would leave Perkins to guard Pao Gasol or Lamar Odom.
My gut tells me KG gets Gasol.
What do you think?

Perk matches up with Odom better and KG would match up better with Gasol so my guess is that Perk gets Odom and KG gets Gasol.
I'm wit ya.
If Perk can keep Odom on the perimeter, all the better.
I think Odom is basically an over-sized small forward, who can face up to the basket from the three point line in, and likes to drive and shoot jumpers. I feel like these are the type of skills Perk is LEAST suited to defend against. KG doesn't like guys like this either (see Rashard Lewis and J-Smoove) but he is more comfortable on the perimeter - so I will guess that Perk starts out on Pau, and KG checks Gasol. On the other side of the coin, Pau and Odum are charmin soft, so I think KG and Perk will be monsters in the paint against those two.
Interesting observations.
You must not be a Laker fan.
I agree with you on Odom, cuz I saw the impact KG had on Odom twice this year.
But you tell a Laker lover what you told me and they'll go apoplectic over how great Odom is at everything.
