Rondo starting off the game, he pushed the ball the whole time, he put pressure on their defense and we got shots. He kept penetrating. This is a textbook game for him - it's how he should attack every game. Rondo set a great tempo for us and got some easy looks. They were trying to guess where it was coming from all half.

Allen later said that the Celtics have a penchant for making it look tougher than it should, another way of saying (1) the Celtics play down to the level of the opponent; and (2) the Celtics start many games like they just awoke from a nap.
What I'm hearing Doc and an increasingly loud chorus say is that it's up to Rondo to get us going and get the engines fired from the opening tip.
I think that message has been communicated, and Rondo's on board with it.
