No shooting guards in the history of the NBA, other than one or two, have continued to make a consistent impact over the course of an entire season at this stage of their career.

Neither Mark Jackson nor Jeff Van Gundy had him on their lists of best shooting guards in the NBA. He didn't even make honorable mention for best shooting guards on the ESPN web site.

How much longer does Walter Ray Allen have to perform at this level before he gets a little respect? You know, the kind of respect that is typically afforded an eight-time all-star and reigning world champion.
