We look forward to playing them like we looked forward to playing Philly. We wanted to play Philly and now we want to play LA. It's not any different than how we felt tonight coming into the game. [I]t wasn't like we circled this game or anticipated this match-up.It's just another game on our schedule, and it's a big road trip for us.

No one believes this. But it tells you there is some deepening dislike between the two teams. Pierce is essentially telling the Fakers, "ain't no thang."
Celtics players know this is a big game. Back when we stunk, these were the only two games on the Celtics' calendar that mattered. Now that we just played each other last June and are favored to play each other again next June, the implications of this game are obvious.
Celtics fans don't chant "Beat Golden State" before those two teams play.

When fans chanted MVP for Kobe a few years ago in Boston that had to be the lowest point in Celtics history. I'm glad those days are gone.
I agree, though I thought I saw some Yahoos in kobe jerseys when boston hosted la last november.
I agree with The Kid. when I heard those chants for Kobe it was the lowest point of Celtics Fandom. The Lakers have and always will be the most hated team in the league for me. The team is trying to downplay this for obvious reasons. But to the fans... this is a BIG game.
I think both teams believe this is a big game, not just another game on the calendar.
