Ah, but toss this one between the left and right halves of your brain. Assists in one and the same NBA game . . . John Stockton 12 . . . Brian Shaw 14? It's there, right there, in the box score; look it up.
Brian Shaw isn't real keen on talking about himself, saying only, "I did my job," when the Stockton-Shaw numbers were floated by him. Finally, though, the Celtics guard put his own stamp on his own performance.
